Register now for our International Summer School from August 6 to August 13, 2023.
You surely have heard of Karl Marx, perhaps even from Rosa Luxemburg – but hundreds of years of socialists, feminists, anarchists, and visionaries for a better world left us with uncountable pages to read! Young people from socialist organisations and movements from Europe and around the world come together in the summer at the International Summer School. This year, we’re looking forward welcoming you to our very own non-formally facilitated book club which will help us understanding both where we come from and where we are going. We will take a closer look at the foundation of our movements and how theory intertwines with political and activist practice. Let’s get inspired by the struggles of labour unions, communes, or cooperatives in the past by transferring their hopes and ideas to the present and future. We’re excited for this seminar – and for your registration!
The programme is developed by the international team of Kurt Löwenstein Education Centre. We will work in track sessions every day. But we will leave plenty of time per day for other parts of the programme participants self-organise, with the help of the international team, but also sometimes themselves. In committees we organise our free time and evenings. We will have time to share workshops also participants bring with them and spend one day on a field trip in Berlin. Much more will develop and happen.
The seminar will be conducted in English; thus, it will be rather hard to understand the instructions and fully participate if your English is limited. However, you may help each other out in delegations.
